Waldmark I usually have my music more thicker, denser or massive so to say, faster too
At first I thought Dissolution to Salt and Bone was bleak and thin
It is not
Heavy as a continental plate 🌋
Thanks 🤘🏻

JT EXTREME A striking journey manifesting joy and despair all the while sending heavy waves to the depths of the loins. This 2021 drone doom psych release is not to be missed.
Funeral Fog

Funeral Fog Creepy drone soundscapes, this album is not what I was hoping for. It's better than what I hoped for. There's not much singing, but it keeps you enthralled with a doomy atmosphere, I honestly had a smile on my face while listening to this.

Heavy Bough of the dark mirrored depth dark below, whispered texts in the moonlight, harrowed and heavy hand, from the dirty corner of the war, shining light on the dark, torso's flight toward mimetic song, sparks first thought solid shad hear their song through the wall, stone thighs of the night, murmur song from dead hopeless eyes, sending innocent roots, through the creeping criminal ground. Into light darkened soft, old recalling leaps from the air, dewy lips from fountain force, verdant dying decayed, sweet fragrance from downy leave, torn apart from the falling rain, foggy shadows of misted breath, speaking twilight in song, when we wake it will be sweet again, telling stories to the flagging moon, darkened hallways in the bright light of day, hot days traveled over glass, speaking warm breath at night. Heavy bough of the dark, mirrored depth dark below, sparks of sun first thought solid shade, hear their songs through the wall, message sent through a temple bell, ringing lightly on cupboard doors, drinking silently off, defenseless sense appealed to our better sides, we're calling all off, incantations so desperate, pull us from the gleaming inside, sadness left in disarray, drifting torpor in denial, please tell us what we are. In the pale after light, glowing softly in June, we forget all of winter still frozen in altar shade, branches naked and white with frost, lofting spells from the dying planes, ashes order in our water. Phantom pale in the light, singing wishes into the well, find the child white in apron, though the memories linger, lilt of prayer chatters on, when we once were free again, long ago lost and redeemed, nothing ever is gone, nothing can be destroyed

Life into Waves, in the grey outgoing tide. We will dissolve, body of salt and ash and bone. Flesh will divide, flesh divides into the light. Forsake memory, waking into the ash and fire. Sinking in stones, a busy noise by waking day. In whispering groves, resplendent brook sings in decay. Land will divide, the stones divide into the waves. Body and plains, we will be salt and ash and bone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Dissolution to Salt and Bone'' is the debut album by Experimental Doom / Ambient Drone duo The Sun and The Mirror.

The band consists of cellist Sarah Townley, who creates a haunting wall of ambient drone and deconstructed classical melodies, and multi-instrumentalist Reggie Townley on vocals, guitar, bass, electronics and drums.
The album flows with effortless strength, powerfully blending beneath the underwater currents of its stream a unique mix of Doom, psychedelic, minimalistic noise, dark orchestral, drone and folk.

“Dissolution to Salt and Bone” was written and composed using the onboard generator of an RV during a road trip to the Oregon Coast and through Ironside Mountain, while the band was on their way to scatter a family member’s ashes.
A dramatically private meditation on mourning and loss which somehow manages to bring forth the themes of decay and the fossilisation of bones as a universal archetype for instances such as memory, change and evolution.

The Sun and The Mirror’s debut album is a phenomenally multi-layered work: spilling out blood and tears, rage and sorrow, their audial exploration in the realm of avant-garde and experimental music evokes a poetry of broken memories and incumbent omens.

“Life into waves, in the grey outgoing tide. We will dissolve, body of salt and ash and bone”
