Black clouds have closed like a wall which has frozen the senses. Silence: the harbinger who announces the beginning and the end.
And I waited, as we do when moments aren't clear, with the hope that a future will come to reveal a meaning.
Like a wound tearing a wall, the centre turns red and with unnatural symmetry it expands as above so below.
Two specular triangles, at which base the red dies in a turquoise sea, infinite and dreadful as a thought. An hourglass of blood and peace.
Now a light has stopped time. And blood. And sea. Everything is still, as an infinite moment.
And the future, motionless, is horrible: it's a red abyss that swallows desires, which lives for a moment and falls helpless.
Below, the volcano of the past, where everything ends and forever lies, ready to throw up blackened memories.
In this quiet no desire falls, no remembrance floats. No more. The light expands itself, and looks like the end. For now.

Sometimes not even the smell of death can rouse the burnt souls.
Inside every thing, close to no thing, I see, I observe who falls and I deem wise who dies clean.
I can watch the earth, without soiling my hands, cause I live in hell together with the corpses of my desires.

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be.
